In the library, Mr. Shizukushimia sees her daughter. Shizuku carries an arm full of books to a long table and begin to start reading. They are not story books but rather research books.

She opens one book and sees the story of a person who makes violin in prison.

All the people around her are starting to leave.

Suddenly someone pulls up a chair and sits down across from her.

It is Seiji!

He is reading a book, and smiles when she finally looks up to see him. He is leaving tomorrow. He urges her to continue because he'll wait until she is finish.

That night, they say good-bye. Before they part, Seiji offers his hand and Shizuku receives it. They pause. Shizuku waves good bye and tells him she will wait for him.

On the train ride back home, Shizuku stares reflectively out the window...
